In 2002 the Tampa Bay Bucaneers beat the Oakland Raiders 48-21 in the Super Bowl. The 38-year-old at that time coach of the Bucs, Jon Grunden, was handed the Lombardi Trophy by ESPN’s announcer Michael Tirico. Nowadays, they are both (with Ron Jaworski) this year’s Monday Night Football Announcers. While Tirico is the one of the main sportscasters of the country, Grunden and Jaworski had memorable achievements in the NFL history.  You can now watch monday night football online.

Apparently, he is famous for his wide range of assignments he has dealt with and for his adaptable nature, which is his main advantage and the main reason why he keeps a leading broadcasting position for so long.

Ron Jaworski (Ronald Vincent Jaworski) was born in 1951, in New York (Lackawanna), and is a previous pro football quarterback and currently an NFL analyst for ESPN. His NFL carrer is connected with the Philadelphia Eagles, who in 1980 started the regular season with a 11-1 record and finally won the NFC Eastern Division, but didn’t make it to the Super Bowl XV, where the Eagles lost to the Oakland Riders. However, Jaworski was named this season “NFL Player of the Year”, “Maxwell Football Club’s Professional Player of the Year” and “Professional Athlete of the Year” by Dunlop Rubber. His initial on air broadcasting was in 1976 on the Bob Shannon show in California. In 1988, he hosted the “Ron Jaworski Show” for WIP-AM and co-hosted the “Celebrity Sports Talk” in 1990. He was one of the Monday Night Football Announcers for ESPN since 2006 and in 2010 he published his first book, “The Games that Changed the Game”, where 7 games which significantly affected the history (tactics and schemes) of NFL were highlighted. He was lately (August 2011) announced to be among the main investors and advisers for the Elite Football League of India.

Jon David Grunden was born in 1963 and, like Ron Jaworski, keeps a significant place in the history of NFL (mainly as a coach). He’s been occupied as a head coach of the Raiders of 4 seasons and of the Bucanneers for 7 seasons. His main achievement is the winning of the Super Bowl XXXVII, when the Βucks defeated the Raiders. Grunden, 38 at that time, was the youngest head coach winning the Super Bowl. He joined the ESPN team in 2009 and has served as a colour analyst on ESPN’s Monday Night Football telecasts, in the place of Tony Kornheiser and since then kept a place between the Monday Night Football Announcers. In 2010 he called the Rose Bowl and the BCS National Championship Game on the radio station of ESPN. He’s also been a colour analyst for ESPN/ABC throughout the Outback Bowl of 2011 on New Year’s Day and the Orange Bowl of the same year.

Having two legends of NFL history and one of ESPN’s main broadcaster as the 2011′s Monday Night Football Announcers, ESPN gives this event the significance it deserves, as one of the main sports events among all in The States. The quality of commenting has always been connected with the significance of the events been commented and Grunder’s, Jaworski’s and Tirico’s presentation will surely provide to Monday Night Football the coverage it deserves.
